Communicators for Change (CC@MIIS) is proud to present the panel discussion Demystifying Science: Building Awareness in the 21st Century, on Nov 20th at 1:00 PM PT at the Monterey Institute of International Studies in Monterey CA, and live @communicators4change.org. The panel will feature Dr. James Lindholm director of the Institute for Applied Marine Ecology and distinguished professor at CSUMB and Doniga Markegard of Earth Action Mentor; and will be moderated by MIIS professor Dr. Jason Scorse. The panel will explore the causes of the difficulty in communicating science effectively with the public and policy-makers. The panelists will have the opportunity to talk about initiatives they are involved in that strive to find innovative ways to improve the public reception of science.

This panel is part of CC iConference 09: Communicating Change in a Complex World which will take place on Friday November 20 at the Monterey Institute of International Studies.
